Did you know, you could be earning more than a lawyer or a surgeon just by using LinkedIn?
The sky’s the limit when it comes to making money online, and picking the right niche can replace your current corporate income or build a successful side hustle.
My question to you is: WHY not?
Making six figures or more by basing your marketing efforts around LinkedIn is totally achievable with the right strategy.
Today, let’s get into the most profitable coaching and consulting niches on LinkedIn for 2024!
Number one: Executive leadership coaching. This niche is a development process designed to help business leaders enhance their skills, achieve their goals, and maximize their potential.
It involves a one-on-one relationship between executive coaches and clients—so it gives coaches access to high-level leaders.
And along with that comes… you guessed it. Big budgets. Executive leadership coaches can impact huge organizational change, so they can charge accordingly.
They cover things like:
Getting into it through LinkedIn requires a strategic approach to building your professional network.
For aspiring executive coaches, share thought leadership content, highlight your relevant experience, and optimize your profile.
Our second profitable niche is career transition coaching. This involves helping professionals make the shift between careers, roles, or different industries.
Career transition coaches offer guidance, support, strategies, and identify new career possibilities for their clients so they can make informed decisions.
Change—especially when it comes to your career—is hard, and career transition coaches make it a little less hard. Salary negotiation, getting promotions, and securing new jobs: that’s what they specialize in, and that’s why they can charge the big bucks.
Career transition coaches can leverage LinkedIn to develop their client base. If you’re hoping to do that, then I suggest building your professional brand on LinkedIn with testimonials, active community participation, and highlighting your relevant certifications – like a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC) or Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).
Number three: digital marketing consulting. As a digital marketer, the riches are in the niches. Many successful consultants specialize in growth on Meta, Instagram, or Youtube.
Businesses are investing in digital marketing more and more each year—and it’s often platform-specific… Hello, LinkedIn!
Establishing yourself as a marketing expert for a specific niche means you become the go-to guru when companies want to spend that new marketing budget earmarked for LinkedIn. You don’t have to excel at every form of digital marketing—one platform or niche will do it!
Take me for example. As a LinkedIn Business Strategist, I focus on teaching people how to grow a follow-worthy personal brand, and make content that opens hearts, minds… and wallets. Check out my Insiders Suite Experience for more on how I help my clients rise to the top!
The fact that you’re watching this video from me—a LinkedIn digital marketing specialist—means that it’s real, and it works!
Number four: workplace diversity, equity and inclusion consulting – also known as DEI. Companies are increasingly recognizing the benefits of having diversity in the workplace, and they’re spending money on consultants who can help them foster it.
Promoting a diverse workplace is widely recognized for being a smart financial decision. And it’s a space that not a lot of experts and thought leaders are occupying just yet!
As a DEI consultant, you’d provide guidance, strategic planning, and expertise to help organizations create a more inclusive culture. And those with a proven track record can command high fees!
Becoming a DEI consultant means a mix of education, experience, and commitment to advancing the values you promote. Using LinkedIn as a foundation for networking and promoting your services is a no-brainer—just see the dozens of DEI thought leaders already on the platform!
And finally, number five: business strategy consulting. This niche is similar to number one, but business strategy consultants operate on more of a company-wide scale.
They help companies take their strategic plans and turn them into, well… money! As you may have guessed, results are key – so successful business strategy consultants need to be adept at analyzing company operations to find room for optimization.
So how do you get into it?
Allow me to (humbly) use myself as an example, again. As a LinkedIn Business Strategist, I teach people how to use their network as a business. I work with clients to monetize their network, turn connections into high-ticket clients, and build a well-oiled LinkedIn lead generation machine!
